Kievo-pecherska Lavra
Monastery founded about 1000 years ago, on the very sunrise of christianity in Europe. Kiev is the origin of christianity not only for Ukraine, but for Russia and Belarus, too. Lavra is located on a huge territory in city center and famouse for its ancientry, labyrinth of caves, breathtaking sightseeings, jewelry museum. A lot of pilgrim come here from numerous countries. You can take amazing photos climbing to bell tower.
Andriivscy descent
This street is the heart of Kiev. Andriivsky descent possesses the spirit of old town and always is full of artists, painters, sculptors and viators. This is the best place to find original or rare souvenir or antique things. You will find several art galeries here as well as theatres and small restaurants. You can walk down to Podil along Andriyivski descent and browse in the antique and bric-a-brac shops along the way
Sofiivska church
Was builded about 1000 years ago as a main Kiev church competeing with Sophia church in Constantinopol (Byzantine). There are rumors that the library of Jaroslav Mydry - big collection of medieval and ancient books is hidden here. At all, St.Sophia is a very calm and peaceful place worth to be attended. Included to UNESCO World heritage.
